My book has Hernando De Soto Miles marked out in my book for this week's entry.

H.D. was my Great-Great-Grandfather.

It's long been a mystery as to where his name came from. Hernando de Soto was a Spanish explorer but where did his parents Abraham & Harriet get it from?

What I can tell you about him, echoed by various family members is:

Hernando de Soto is only remembered for one thing - he had foul smelling feet!
